Calvin Klein (PVH Europe) will move into the Porcellis building under construction at the head of the Houthavens in Amsterdam in the first quarter of 2016. The building consists of approximately 13,000 m² of offices and showrooms. Heren2 will develop an office.
PVH and is one of the largest lifestyle companies in the world with a turnover of more than USD 8 billion. In addition to Calvin Klein, PVH also carries the brands Tommy Hilfiger, Arrow and Speedo.
The building was designed by MVSA architects. According to Roberto Meijer of MVSA architects, the design is timeless, functional and stylish; the slightly sloping 11-storey building has a dynamic and iconic appearance that goes with this unique location on the IJ.
Appelhoven Vastgoedadviseurs advised PVH Europe in this transaction. According to Pim Appel van Appelhoven Vastgoedadviseurs, Calvin Klein chose this building because area and building radiate creativity and dynamism. MVSA designed a sustainable and spectacular building with a lot of light, wide terraces and floor fields with a lot of free height. In 2016, a landmark building will be built on the IJ with an international allure that fits in perfectly with the image of the internationally renowned fashion house Calvin Klein.
Previously, Appelhoven Vastgoedadviseurs advised PVH for its Tommy Hilfiger unit with the renegotiation and expansion of their office space in Amsterdam. All in all, this involved approximately 14,000 m² of office space.
