It was recently announced that NEM Energy is building a new office of 10,000 m² GLA on the Stadhouderslaan in Zoeterwoude (Verde Vista site). The first pile was driven on 11 October last. It is the first building out of a plan of 30,000 m² of office space. Rijssenmolen, a subsidiary of VolkerWessels, is developing NEM Energy’s office and will also take care of the development of the adjacent objects. The Verde Vista area is located on the A4 at the junction with the N11.
Rijssenmolen has commissioned Appelhoven Vastgoedadviseurs to take care of all marketing and rental activities for the Verde Vista development. In addition to the NEM office, the construction of a second building with a surface area of approximately 5000 m² GLA and associated parking facilities has already started. Completion is planned for the first quarter of 2014. The building will be provided with all kinds of materials and measures to ensure a high level of sustainability. For example, there will be a heat-cold storage facility and PV cells will be integrated into the roof for energy generation. Mossedum roofs will also be used to collect rainwater.
The Verde Vista location in the Leiden region offers office space at a visible location along the A4 motorway. There are no restrictions, as is the case with Science Park in Leiden, with regard to the destination. Now that the Oostvlietpolder development is off the runway, Verde Vista offers a good alternative for companies that want to be housed along one of the main highways in the Netherlands.
