APF International buys head office from Gaastra in Amsterdam

In October 2012, APF International purchased the Gaastra head office located at Minervahavenweg 3 – 5 in Amsterdam Houthavens for the benefit of Vastgoed CV APF XIV. The purchase price amounted to approximately 7.750.000,- euros. The property has recently been substantially rebuilt. For example, the entire facade on the water side was made of glass (this was formerly concrete) and the ground floor of storage space has been re-developed into showroom space. The cooling, heating, restaurant facilities, etc. have been adapted and realised by the seller in accordance with Gaastra’s programme of requirements. The seller was able to buy the property from the trustee at the beginning of 2012 due to the bankruptcy of the previous owner/user.

The property has a total area of approximately 4,350 m² and 31 parking spaces belong to the property. The property has been let for a period of 15 years to Gaastra International Sportswear B.V. This company belongs to the McGregor Fashion Group.

The property houses the research & development department, the design centre and the showroom areas. Gaastra is an international nautical sportswear brand. The company owes its international reputation to a unique mix of functionality and fashion, which is consistently implemented in Gaastra Pro Gear and Gaastra Sportswear.

The sale of participations with a minimum participation of 250.000,- euro was completed within three weeks. The placement was made in cooperation with Adviesgroep Reyersen van Buuren.

APF International was assisted by Albers en Van Tienen Notarissen and PWC Belastingadviseurs in Amsterdam. The seller, a consortium of private investors, was advised in this transaction by Appelhoven Vastgoedadviseurs.
